About Me

I am a Welsh writer, writing facilitator and Poetry Therapy Practitioner based in Snowdonia, North Wales. Writing and spending time in the natural environment are two sources of immense pleasure and personal inspiration in my life. Living and working in a place of outstanding natural beauty has played a huge part in my healing and well- being, and has helped sustain my own creative process.

I founded “Out of the Blue Writing”, where I facilitate writing groups, work with individuals and provide online courses. I have developed a branch of my work called “Treading Softly” which combines walking and writing in the natural landscape.

I am an Executive Director of iaPOETRY (the International Academy for Poetry Therapy), and a Master Mentor for the academy –mentoring and training potential Poetry Therapy Practitioners and those wishing to become mentors.  I have received awards and scholarships from NAPT (National Association for Poetry Therapy) and Wales Arts International, for pioneering work in the field of poetry therapy, as well as scholarships from Bridgexngs Poetry Center, NYC.
